houseLocated in Weare, New Hampshire, we are a small kennel of select English Labradors. We started with Labradors in 1992 when we purchased our first Labrador for a hunting companion. We then did Lab rescue for a number of years and we were hooked. We now participate in conformation shows as well as hunt tests. We strive to produce dogs that will not only be pleasing to look at but intelligent and work as a multi-purpose Labrador, whether that be a family pet, show dog, or hunting companion.

I have been fortunate to have the mentorship of Barry Richards, Nirvana Labradors. Several of my dogs are the result of his breeding. The depth of quality seen in my dogs today could not have been accomplished without his guidance, knowledge and friendship. Thank you, Barry.

"Crosslot's", our registered kennel name, comes from nothing more than crossing over lot's of land to get to your destination faster. We live on family land which at one time was an operating dairy farm. Kids walking home from school and farmers with there animals would cross over lots to get to their destination faster. Today our kids and dogs do the same. The first time I heard the word "Crosslot's" was when Steve's grandmother called and said the kids were coming up through the back field "Crosslot's" home from her house.

All of our dogs are genetically cleared through the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) for hips and elbows. Eyes are cleared through the Canine Eye Registration Foundation (CERF). We as well perform the OptiGen prcd-PRA test, which is a DNA-based test that helps you avoid one form of Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA). PRA refers to a group of diseases that cause the retina of the eye to degenerate slowly over time. The result is declining vision and eventual blindness. Our puppies are raised in our home where we feel they will get the most socialization and exposure from a young age.

I grew up on a working horse farm, breeding, raising and showing horses, so only natural I would carry on having my own farm and horses. We have English Shires and Clydesdales. They are sharp, incredible moving horses that make classic driving horses that as well can be ridden.

Continuing on our journey in the Labrador world, we continue to strive to produce the best we can and better the breed.
